This is operational 24 hours a day, connecting you directly to the Scheme Manager, or the Central Control facility operated by Welwyn Hatfield Council. Many properties have a walk-in shower and the two bedroom first floor flats are accessible by a stair lift. Greenfields has an onsite laundry, a guest room, car parking, well maintained grounds and recently refurbished communal areas.
Greenfields also benefits from the John Lambert Room and its adjoining conservatory. They provide a meeting place for the social activities that the residents of Greenfields organise on a regular basis.
The rents at Greenfields, as at April 2009, were around £404 per month for a one bedroom bungalow and £450 per month for a two bedroom flat. Service charges are payable in addition to rent. Some residents at Greenfields are in receipt of housing benefit and the Housing Association positively encourages, and assists, all residents to make an application.
